We are recruiting for an ambitious, professional, resilient and respectful:
Finance Admin Apprentice
Salary of £20,191 per annum with Local Government Pension Scheme, or £24,754 per annum if accessing full flexible pay options.
37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.

Duties:
- To process all Accounts Payable invoicing in a timely and accurate manner, to ensure the College’s financial records are as accurate and up to date.
- To be main port of call for the purchasing area of PS Financials including responsibility for assisting non-finance staff ensuring purchase orders and purchase invoices are authorised, cleared or removed as necessary.
- To liaise with College suppliers as and when required to ensure accounts are up to date and issues dealt with.
- To maintain the administration of the College’s Accounts Payable ledgers including new account set up and preparing supplier payment run.
- To assist in month end closure by providing reconciled petty cash, mileages, bank reconciliation, accrual list and aged creditor report on a timely basis.
- To process monthly credit card expenses on accounting system.
Skills/experience:
- Highly motivated administrator with a range administration and reporting experience.
- Experience of an electronic finance system (ideally incorporating a purchase ordering function).
- Knowledge and experience of Microsoft IT packages, including Excel (vlook-up, sumif, pivot tables, conditional formatting).
- Able to work collaboratively within a team and problem solve issues as they arise.
- Well organised and hold an excellent range of communication skills.
Qualifications:
- Minimum GCSE grade 4 / C in English & Maths or equivalent.
- Level 2 or above in Business Administration or equivalent (AAT) is desirable.
- Willingness to work towards relevant qualifications for the post as required.
