Eastleigh College is closed for the winter break from 17:00 on Thursday 23rd December 2021 to 08:30 on Tuesday 4th January 2022.

During the winter break the College will be monitoring COVID-19 related developments as they may occur. The current plans for January are linked here: https://www.eastleigh.ac.uk/covid-19/. Any changes to these plans will be communicated via the College news section and social media accounts. The current plans include testing all onsite learners from Tuesday 4th to Monday 10th January.

During the winter break colleagues and learners will continue to receive text message communication from the College with reminders about testing, staying safe and preparing for January.

Learners who have exams or assessments in January may well have worries or concerns. Whilst we do not know if the government may impose restrictions after Christmas, the College can confirm that strong plans are in place to ensure that all January exams and assessments can take place. Whilst no absolute guarantees can be made, learners should be reassured that despite the national restrictions in place, this year the College was still able to hold all January 2021 exams and assessments onsite. As such, the key message for all learners who have exams and assessments in January is to study hard and make sure that these are fully prepared for.

After a full year unlike any other, the College wishes all colleagues, learners and stakeholders a restful, enjoyable and safe winter break so that we can all return with ambition and energy for whatever 2022 may have in store.

For more information, please contact the College at BeBetter@eastleigh.ac.uk. Please note that any message sent during the closure period will be responded to as quickly as possible in January 2022.

Please note that the College is closed from 24th December to 4th January. For up-to-date COVID-19 advice, please see our website here.
