Eastleigh College delighted to support inaugural Central South Business Awards
We are delighted to have played a part in a fresh celebration of local business successes in our Solent community.
The awards ceremony, which took place at Hilton at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton, was hosted by the star of ITV’s hit show The Chase, Paul Sinha, and recognised the outstanding achievements of the region’s business community.
The 15 winners included individuals and companies from across a vast range of sectors - from technology to construction to travel and law. Eastleigh College sponsored the Contribution to the Skills Agenda award, which was won by Morgan Sindall Construction.
Our Art and Design alumna Chamiah Dewey was also shortlisted in two categories - Start-up of the Year and Future Talent of the Year - for her outstanding progress with Chamiah Dewey Fashion. This is a clothing brand for individuals affected by Dwarfism and Chamiah took home a 'Highly Commended' accolade.
Maarten Hoffmann, Managing Director at Platinum Media Group and organiser of the awards, said: “The Central South Business Awards celebrate all the remarkable businesses in the region - and the people that work for them! The high quality of the business activity coming out of this region is remarkable, and on behalf of all the award sponsors, I’d like to extend our congratulations to all of this year’s winners and shortlisted finalists.”
Nicky Tramaseur, Director of Brand, Engagement and Learner Recruitment at Eastleigh College, represented the College at the event. She commented: "It was fantastic to play a part in the inaugural Business South Awards and support all the amazing achievements of the talented businesses in our community - many of whom we enjoy great partnerships with. A huge congratulations to all the winners, especially our category winners Morgan Sindall Construction, and a big thanks to the event organisers Platinum Media Group Ltd."
