Following the Department for Education (DfE) recommendation in May 2022, City College Southampton, Eastleigh College and Fareham College are proposing to merge, creating one financially strong, responsive and ambitious Further Education (FE) organisation which will be best placed to serve the education and training needs of Southampton and the surrounding areas.

The synergy of these complementary colleges will enhance the range of provision and the quality of courses throughout the region by forming a network of campuses with centres of excellence, which will increase the supply of skills to the local economy.
