Eastleigh College partners with Churches Fire & Security to give their electrical learners unique industry insight

Eastleigh College partnered with Churches Fire & Security, a national provider of fire safety and security services, to deliver training sessions to our Advanced Technical Diploma level 3 study programme courses and our 3 Electrical Block Release Level 3 Apprentice groups. The training session are part of the College’s commitment to providing learners with as much industry experience and insight as possible and present them with networking opportunities to spark conversations about career options after they graduate.

Eastleigh College’s Gas Assessment Centre supports Government Build Back Greener Strategy

Eastleigh College is encouraging gas engineers to upskill and become ground and air source heat pump qualified in a bid to assist in the UK's ambition to become net zero for carbon emissions by 2050. The College’s  BPEC registered Gas Assessment Centre is providing a selection of courses, which when completed, equip engineers with the entrance criteria required for completing the Installation and Maintenance of the Ground/Air Source Heat Pumps qualification.

Eastleigh College partners with Travis Perkins plc to provide traineeships for young adults

Travis Perkins plc, which is the largest supplier of building materials, and a leading partner to the construction industry, has launched a new partnership with Eastleigh College in Hampshire to provide traineeship opportunities for learners and help more young people into work. This partnership is the first one of its kind in the further education sector, and will involve Travis Perkins providing up to 300 annual traineeships across England for 19-24 year old learners who are connected to the College from January 2022.

Eastleigh College update - COVID-19 measures for week commencing Monday 8 November

Following the Hampshire half term and the College’s planned non-teaching week Eastleigh College will be reintroducing stricter COVID-19 measures during a week that will see all onsite learners be tested through the College’s onsite test centre.

Gas Safety Week 2021 marks busy year for Eastleigh’s Gas Assessment Centre

The eleventh national campaign to raise awareness of gas safety took place last week and marks the end of a busy year at the Gas Assessment Centre (GAC) in Eastleigh where candidates qualify for both home and business ‘gas safe’ registration. Within the past 12 months the BPEC approved assessment centre has been restructured and expanded to accommodate an increased apprentice intake.
