Interns reap employment and skills advice from Borough Council expert

Employment and skills expert from Eastleigh Borough Council, Lea Hampton, visited Eastleigh College to provide talks to all the college's newly appointed supported interns. Lea, who works with schools and colleges to promote awareness of skills shortage opportunities and encourage the development of skills, provided invaluable tips on job hunting and interview techniques.

Eastleigh College Confirms COVID-19 Cases

At midday on Friday 13 November we were made aware of four confirmed COVID-19 cases amongst College learners. Based on the information supplied there has been no transmission linked to attendance at the College. In addition through our seating and group plans we have been able to quickly identify any learner(s) who were in proximity to the affected learners and all identified learners have been contacted in advance of this information being posted online and through social media.  The College has also made contact with the parents, guardians or carers of these individuals where they are under 18, or under 25 and have an Education Health and Care Plan. Chewton Glen nurtures talented young chefs from Eastleigh College

Three Level 3 Professional Cookery students have joined the team at the luxurious Chewton Glen Hotel in the New Forest as commis chef. Emily King, James Tumilty and Harrison Le Marechal, all completed their formal culinary training at Eastleigh College in July.

Eastleigh College has appointed six new governors, complementing and strengthening an already successful existing board only two weeks after launching our ambitious 2020-2024 strategy.
