The sector has more than 36,000 employers, creating work for more than 600,000 full-time and part-time employees, and over 5 million volunteers! You can get involed hands-on as a Sports Coach or Fitness Instructor, or take a less active approach as a Sports Commentator or Sports Journalist. The opportunities are vast, within local facilities and sports centres as well as national schemes encouraging more people to take up active, healthy lifestyles.

Adult students on a career path are positive about going to university
According to figures recently reported by UCAS, the total number of applicants wishing to start university in September hit a new high. The findings coincide with the results of an exit poll of 250 adult learners from Eastleigh College in which 98% agreed that ‘My course will enable me to develop a new career’.
