On completion, apprentices can apply for Associate Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).
What will I be learning?
HR Professionals typically work in medium to large organisations as part of the HR function delivering front line support to managers and employees, or are a HR Manager in a small organisation. Their work is likely to include handling day to day queries and providing HR advice; working on a range of HR processes, ranging from transactional to relatively complex, from recruitment through to retirement; using HR systems to keep records; providing relevant HR information to the business; working with the business on HR changes.

The apprenticeship standard covers the core skills, knowledge and behaviours to demonstrate competency within a HR Support role and covers key requirements to include:

Apprentices will develop through on and off-the-job learning and are expected to attend Eastleigh College on a bespoke delivery pattern and on successful completion of an end point assessment, will achieve the Level 3 HR Support apprenticeship standard. Additionally, apprentices will achieve the Level 3 Certificate in Human Resources Practice.
Additionally, unless exempt on entry, apprentices will be required to achieve Level 2 Functional Skills in English & Maths prior to undertaking end point assessment.
The typical duration of this apprenticeship is expected to be 24 months.
Your progress will be continuously monitored and supported by an Apprenticeship Officer.
What do I need to sign up?
Entry is subject to interview and assessment and you will need to have relevant employment undertaking significant HR tasks. In addition, you will need to have 4 GCSEs at grade C/4 or higher, including English & Maths or be able to demonstrate ability equivalent to, or exceeding Level 2 in English& Maths.
