What are the entry requirements?

There are no formal entry requirements in respect of this course.

What does this programme involve?

This course will help you get to grips with the basics of maintaining and repairing your bike to keep it in tip-top condition.

We provide a step by step guide to bike maintenance for the complete beginner including introduction to the right tools for the job, adjusting your bike height, preventative maintenance, fixing a puncture and changing brake blocks.

How is the programme taught and assessed?

The course will be mostly hands-on and demonstration.

What else do I need to know?

If you would like to understand how a bike works and learn how to carry out repairs yourself, then this is the course for you. This course is suitable for beginners.

A College Certificate can be awarded on request.

Please bring the bicycle to be worked on to the first class and a notebook and pen.

Students are responsible for the purchase of any tools/materials to maintain their bike. You will be advised at the first class what tools are required.
