What opportunities will this course give me?
Candidates successfully completing the C&G 2394 and 2395 qualifications will be ideally prepared for the C&G 2396 design and verification of electrical installations qualification.
We strongly recommend that unless a candidate has a proven record and substantial experience in the field of inspection and testing, that they attempt C&G 2394 before C&G 2395.
What will I be learning?
The C&G 2394 is the Level 3 award in the Initial Verification and Certification of electrical installations.
The course covers explanations of current legislation, HSAW, EAWR, GS38, selection and use of test equipment, safe isolation procedures and methods of recording test results through the completion of relevant documentation for Initial Verification.
This qualification is recognised for those wanting to Inspect, Test and Certificate New Electrical Installations and Minor works.
The course requires completion of a closed book online exam, closed book written exam and practical assessments.
The sessions are split to give both theory and practical knowledge, the theory is completed through structured questions designed to encourage the candidate to use BS7671 and GN3 extensively. Whilst every opportunity is given for hands on use of test instruments, it is expected that candidates will have some prior experience. The test scenarios will include work on both single and three phase installations
Why is this course for me?
The sessions are split to give both theory and practical knowledge. Theory is supported through the completion of structured questions, designed to encourage the candidate to use BS7671 extensively, whilst every opportunity is given for hands-on use of the test equipment. Test scenarios will include work on both single and three phase installations.
What do I need to sign up?
You must be a qualified Electrician in the electrical installation field and you are required to complete a question sheet referencing prior knowledge
Is there anything else I need to know?
This course is for those currently working as electricians who have C&G 2382 17th Edition. Candidates will have proven ability in the field and will be required to show evidence to this effect. This is normally carried out through completion of a questionnaire and a telephone interview.
