Successful completion will enable candidates to use an accounting software package in the workplace and progress to the Foundation Certificate in Accounting.
Candidates must have reasonable IT, numeracy and literacy skills.
This qualification provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to process book-keeping and financial transactions using accounting software, including sales and purchase ledgers, cash books, bank reconciliations and producing reports.
The course involves practical computer work supported by tutor led theory sessions and guidance for skills development. Students will be assessed by way of a computer based assessment set and marked by the AAT and taken in college.
The Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) is an internationally recognised professional body providing a range of accounting qualifications recognised by employers across the finance sector.
