What opportunities will this course give me?
You will learn the basics of writing stories for children, as well as how to professionally present your ideas to those in the publishing industry.
What will I be learning?
You will be taught about the content of childrens books, what goes into stories for various age-ranges and what sort of content succeeds in the industry. This will be done through a lesson delivered by PowerPoint, discussion, video and picture. Virtual handouts will be provided.
Why is this course for me?
This course is ideal for learners who have an interest in writing stories for children and young adults but do not know where they should start. Lesson will be informal and relaxed, and open to discussion about various aspects of writing professionally.
How will my learning be enhanced?
The Tutor has been working in the industry for twenty years and has experience in editing work in both the adult and childrens prose market, as well as specialising in working with new writers.
The Tutor has been teaching Creative Writing and Scriptwriting for TV and Film for five years.
What do I need to sign up?
A desire to learn is all that is required!
Is there anything else I need to know?
A pen and paper, as well a computer or electronic device with a strong, reliable internet connection to access this course.
