What opportunities will this course give me?
This course will give you the opportunity to save money by providing you with the skills to cut your family's hair - saving time and money on trips to the hairdresser.
This course can also be helpful if you are considering a career move into hairdressing or barbering, but are unsure if this path is for you. Upon completion of the course, you may wish to consider one of our part-time professional courses in hairdressing.
What will I be learning?
On the first session of the course, the students will have a demonstration of a hair cut and instruction on Health and Safety. During this lesson, learners will receive advice on what equipment to purchase for the remainder of the course.
Throughout the course, several handouts about haircutting will be given. Advice can be given on other hairdressing procedures. On further weeks the students will be asked to bring a head block to practice on. You will learn through a combination of learning theory, observing demonstrations, and practical tasks.
Upon completion of the course, you will be able to do basic cuts, such as a bob and a basic layer cut.
A College Certificate will be awarded on request.
What do I need to sign up?
