College unveils £12 million redevelopment plans!
Eastleigh College is delighted to announce a £12million transformational development on its Chestnut Avenue and Desborough Road campuses. It is one of the first major projects to receive financial backing from the Solent Local Enterprise Partnership as part of the Government's Local Growth Deal investing in training and skills.
Apprentices enter SkillBuild regional heats
Two 3rd year apprentice Bench Joiners from Eastleigh College attended the SkillBuild regional qualifiers in Chichester, with one student winning second place and the chance to compete in the national final later in the year.
Students overcome obstacles for charity
Level 2 Public Services students from Eastleigh College ran a free obstacle course event for disabled learners, with the aim of raising awareness for 'Scope', a charity dedicated to providing support to disabled people in the UK.

Now in its fifth consecutive year, Eastleigh College recently played host to its popular 'Meet the Employer' event. The College organised activity gave local young people the rare opportunity to meet with employers across a range of industries and discuss more than 20 live Apprenticeship vacancies.

Staff and students perform the big dance for Comic Relief
Eastleigh College staff and students took to the stage yesterday to perform the Comic Relief 'Big Dance' in front of a packed out audience. For the first time, college lecturers and support staff worked with Dance students to perform a compilation mix of some all-time favourite songs, including 'Grease Lightning', 'Billie Jean' by Michael Jackson and MC Hammers 'You can't touch this'. The idea was inspired by this year's Comic Relief Danceathon fundraiser.

As part of National Apprenticeship Week Eastleigh College recently facilitated an insightful employer lunch, where local employers were invited to hear the business benefits of taking on an Apprentice, directly from some of the Colleges current Apprenticeship employers.
