Covid-19 Update

Given the Covid-19 pandemic, the College calendar has been changed for the first term of the 2020/21 academic year and has introduced a two-week October half term break. This break is from Monday 19 to Friday 30 October during which time the College is closed to Learners. The College office will be open from Monday 19 to Friday 23 October (telephone/email enquiries open) and closed from Monday 26 October to Friday 30 October (telephone/email enquiries closed until Monday 2 November). From 2 November we are increasing the areas in which a face mask or covering is required to be worn.

What will I be learning?

This course will introduce you to life coaching. You will learn techniques that will enable you to reassess yourself and redefine what success in life means to you.

You will start the process of reassessing your life. You will identify clear goals and the obstacles to your achieving them. You will learn a range of psychological techniques and life skills that can be used to help you achieve your ambitions.

A College Certificate will be awarded to recognise each students personal achievement.

Why is this course for me?

You will be taught by each week consisting of a particular psychological technique, or life skill covered by the subject of life coaching. In the class there will be practical exercises (either undertaken individually, in pairs, or in small groups) applying that week's topic knowledge and skills.

Each week, where appropriate, course participants will apply the ideas and strategies they have learnt to aspects of their own lives using homework exercises. There will be some compulsory homework exercises that will be assessed merely to ensure that the course participants have understood the course topic and have been able to apply it to themselves. There will be no pass or fail criteria involved.

What do I need to sign up?

There are no formal entry requirements in respect of this course. This course is suitable for anyone interested in using or becoming a life coach and anyone who'd like to be more personally effective in their lives.

Is there anything else I need to know?

Please bring a notebook and pen to the class.

No additional costs are anticipated.
