What will I be learning?
The aim of the course is to introduce students to some of the techniques that could be used to create bridal hair styles and bridal makeup, giving tips on the best methods to achieve results.
Part 1: This involves a simple demonstration on a model followed by a hands-on practice of pinning hair into the style chosen. A number of hairstyles may be created using backcombing and tonging techniques to create the desired height.
Part 2: This section of the course offers students the opportunity to discuss and practice simple makeup application for a wedding party.
A college certificate will be issued on successful completion of the course.
Why is this course for me?
The course is a practical and active workshop taught through demonstrations and hands-on practice with a model. Handouts will also be provided to keep for future reference.
What do I need to sign up?
There are no formal entry requirements for this course.
Is there anything else I need to know?
Please bring a basic cleansing/moisturising and make up kit to the workshop. Specific details regarding items required will be sent to you nearer the start date. Please also bring a model (person) to practice on or be prepared to work with other learners, a pen, and paper/notebook to class.
Additional costs in respect of a basic cleansing and makeup kit are anticipated. All other items will be supplied by the college.
