What opportunities will this course give me?
There is the opportunity for learners to enrol on other hair and beauty courses offered within the college; please browse the college website for details.
What will I be learning?
The aim of the course is to introduce learners to some of the techniques that could be used to create bridal hair styles, giving tips on the best methods to achieve results.
You will learn three wedding hairstyles suitable for any member of the wedding party, from the bride to bridesmaids and attendees. You will learn two hair up styles and one half up half down style for variety, including techniques such as pin curling; curling with tongs, teasing, braiding, back combing and smoothing with use of product and ornamentation.
There will be opportunities to ask questions throughout and you will follow alongside the demonstration step by step with helpful critiques and tips for success.
Hair styling can range from a simple look to a piece of wearable art and provides a chance to get creative. Wedding hair is something that can be quite tricky as it takes neatness and precision - but with the right technical knowledge and the chance to practice, the styles will become second nature.
A college certificate will be issued on successful completion of the course.
