What career opportunities can this lead to?

You can continue on this class throughout the year. It may be possible to join the group in the Spring and Summer term if there is a place available and you are at the correct level.

What are the entry requirements?

This is an Intermediate (Stage 3) course; therefore it is suitable for students who have completed Improvers Stage 2 with Eastleigh College or who have a minimum of 2 years of piano experience.

What does this programme involve?

The course aims to build on previous knowledge, improve technique and timing and increase repertoire. It is mainly practical with some music theory.

A College Certificate will be awarded on request at the end of the course.

How is the programme taught and assessed?

The course is taught using pianos and keyboards in class with guidance from the tutor. You will be taught in a group with a maximum of 4 students and work individually in practice rooms. Practice between lessons will aid your progress throughout the course.

What else do I need to know?

This course is suitable for students who have previous experience of the piano. Please select the level appropriate to your experience.

Please bring a notebook/paper and pencil to the class, along with an example of previous music played (if available).

Tutor book will cost approximately 10.
