You can continue on this class throughout the year, then progress to the Improvers class when you have reached the correct level. Total beginners should start in September. It may be possible to join in the Spring and Summer term if there is a place available and you have some experience.
No formal entry requirements are necessary for this course.
You will learn to play the piano with the guidance of the tutor. You will learn to play simple tunes from the tutor book using both hands. This will include building an understanding of note reading and timing.
A College Certificate will be awarded on request.
This course is mainly practical with a little theory using pianos and keyboards with guidance from the tutor. You will be taught in a group with a maximum of 4 students as well as working individually in practice rooms. Practice between lessons will aid your progress throughout the course.
This course is suitable for students with no previous experience.
Please bring a notebook/paper and pencil to the class.
Tutor book will cost approx. 10.
