What are the entry requirements?
This course is suitable for both complete beginners and those wishing to develop basic skills by undertaking an introductory course.
What does this programme involve?
This course will give a thorough overview of the principles and elements of interior design.
It will help you to develop your own style preferences and stimulate your creativity in the world of interiors.
You will come away with a greater understanding of design styles and gain confidence when designing any space. You will also learn the techniques of visual communication through the medium of mood boards and sample boards.
This is a fun, creative and interactive course that will set you in the right direction, for any up and coming home project either for yourself or for family and friends.
The course will also give you a very solid foundation of understanding if you are aspiring to pursue a future career in interior design.
How is the programme taught and assessed?
You will learn from a mixture of theory and practical work, but the course will be essentially practical with as much 'hands on' as is possible.
As this course is supported by significant written resources, there is a nominal fee for this included in the overall course cost.
What else do I need to know?
Please bring a pen and paper to the first session.
Students are responsible for necessary materials. In certain cases, tutor may source the materials for exercises for the students' convenience; costs will vary according to the project undertaken.
