Business Administrator Apprentice

Job Description:

As a Business Administrator Apprentice, you will learn to assist the office with key administration duties in order to deliver the highest quality of service to our customers.  As you build confidence you will become the first point of contact for customers.

 

With guidance and support from the Office Manager, your duties will include:

·         Answering the telephone

·         Greeting office callers

·         Send relevant service documentation to clients

·         Set up planned and reactive calls

·         Update computer systems with service information and equipment

·         Assist Office Manager as required

·         Preparation of sales/remedial quotations

·         Ordering of goods/liaising with suppliers

·         Respond in efficient timely manner to clients/colleagues

·         Process online web orders/organise couriers

·         Process export orders/paperwork

·         Prepare RAMS

·         Organise equipment calibration

·         Take payments from clients face to face/over the phone

·         Paperwork filing manually or electronically

·         Calculating and processing of sales invoices

·         Assist sales invoice authorisation/engineers’ timesheets

·         Carry out general office duties

·         Understand and adhere to Company Policy and Health and Safety requirements

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

You will undertake a Level 3 qualification in Business Administration

Desired skills and personal qualities

4 GCSEs at grade C/4 or higher including English and Maths.  A Level 2 in Functional Skill Maths would  also be suitable.

·         A confident and polite telephone manner

·         Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)

·         A willingness learn Company software

·         A willingness to develop knowledge of pumps and pressurised systems

·         Ability to communicate effectively

·         Self-motivated and organised

·         Ability to multitask

·         Attention to detail

·         A positive “can do” attitude

Qualifications required 

4 GCSEs at grade C/4 or higher including English and Maths.  A Level 2 in Functional Skill Maths would also be suitable.
