All full-time learners will be allocated a personal tutor who will provide you with support and guidance throughout your time at Eastleigh College. They should be your first point of contact if you need help or advice with day to day or long-term needs. Your tutor will help to monitor your course work, ensuring you are keeping up to date and making progress as expected. They will also help you with any personal concerns you may have, and if they can't help, they will introduce you to someone who can.
Your subject tutor should be your first point of contact for help and advice, and will be able to give you regular feedback on how you are progressing.
You will have a minimum of one hour tutorial per week, where you will be able to learn about, and discuss a variety of topics, such as:
- Your own progress and development
- Information and advice on career opportunities
- Further and higher education opportunities
- CV writing and interview preparation
Raising awareness of key issues including:
- Equality and Diversity
- Sexual Health
You will participate in 1:1 and group reviews with your Tutor to monitor and track your progress. You will also have the opportunity to take part in cross college activities and themed weeks, accessing guest speakers and activities who will talk about a variety of issues and topics which will enhance your college experience.
You will have 1:1 and group reviews with your Tutor to monitor your progress. Depending on the nature of your course, you may have tutorials on relevant topics. You will be provided with relevant information including careers guidance, progression routes, safeguarding and equality and diversity.
Individual Learning Plans
All learners on full and substantial part-time courses will have an individual learning plan, which will monitor progress across the course and set targets to help you successfully achieve your qualification(s).
