Set on becoming a midwife from a young age, Level 3 Health and Social Care student Georgia is excited to be taking her valuable experience at College onto her next chapter, studying midwifery at university.

In particular Georgia puts some of her success down to the multiple work placements she undertook during the course. She told us “each placement gave me an understanding of different health and social care settings. It also gave me an opportunity to practice and develop my communication skills which boosted my confidence.”

The style of learning at the College was also a key part in her decision to study here. Georgia, who went to Bitterne Park School explained “I sometimes struggled with exams at school, so being able to study with practical and written assessments, really helped me.” The small class Georgia was a part of and gave her the opportunity to make some close friends.

Georgia is thrilled to have landed herself a place at university and is one step closer to her dream job.

The lecturers were always so helpful and supportive if we were struggling with anything.
