Coronavirus Update

Eastleigh College has moved to online learning, as such campuses are closed to the vast majority of learners. The College remains open (including over the Easter holiday period) for 16-18 learners of key workers, and those learners with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). However, for both categories, learners are asked to stay at home where it is safe to do so. Consistent with public health advice, learners and staff are asked to follow public health guidance and the steps outlined via the 'read more' button.

Health, Support and Staying Safe

The College promotes healthy and responsible lifestyles and various means to keep our students safe, which include:

  • Healthy food options ar our refectory and shop
  • Fresh water from water coolers around the College
  • Access to a sexual health nurse, who attends the College two days a week
  • Access to College counsellors
  • Safe driving, healthy eating and responsible alcohol consumption tutorial sessions
  • Student training regarding cyber bullying, safe use of mobile phones and the internet
  • Training on what to do if they see bullying or experience it
  • Health and Safety training - especially in hazardous areas like workshops
  • Access to trained staff who can support students, whatever the issue
  • An experienced safeguarding team (see Safeguarding and Child Protection)
