What are the entry requirements?

There are no formal entry requirements in respect of this course.

What does this programme involve?

This course will enable you to understand where you already manage stress well, understand the causes of stress, notice what happens when you are under pressure, build awareness of how pressure tips into stress, understand stress led behaviour in you and others and look at the impact of pressure and stress in the workplace.

You will be given a range of tools to manage pressure and minimise stress in others, how to manage your own assumptions, how to pre-empt difficulties and how to say no (being less accommodating).

In this course, you will learn how to reduce stress by managing pressure better and how to stay more in control of yourself as pressure increases so you can still perform well and achieve results.

You will also learn how to relax quickly in any situation, keep your confidence and energy levels high, and begin to achieve the work, home or life balance you want.

An Eastleigh College certificate will be awarded on request.

How is the programme taught and assessed?

The course will be taught by lecture and discussion.

What else do I need to know?

This course is suitable for anyone interested in managing pressure effectively and to develop an awareness of stress.

Please bring a pen and paper/notepad to the class.

Students are responsible for the purchase of materials relevant to the course.
