Students may progress to Italian Year 2.
What will I be learning?
Lessons are held in a relaxed atmosphere. Students learn to cope in a variety of everyday situations commonly encountered on visits to Italy, such as asking the way, shopping for food and talking about yourself. You will also learn something about the life and culture - all of which will be useful when you travel to Italy.
A College Certificate will be awarded on request.
Why is this course for me?
Students will learn through: demonstration, class work, group work, team work, pair work, role play, games & using multi media resources. The four skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing will be covered but the emphasis will be on speaking and listening.
A course book will be used to supplement the course and help with simple grammar. Some homework will be set each week.
What do I need to sign up?
There are no formal entry requirements in respect of this course.
Is there anything else I need to know?
Please bring a pen, notebook or ring binder to your classes.
The tutor will advise on a course book during the first session; you will be responsible for the cost of purchasing this.
