What opportunities will this course give me?
This course will enable you to be more fluent in Italian, which could enhance career opportunities.
What will I be learning?
Students will be able to improve their fluency in speaking and their ability to understand written and spoken language. The emphasis will be on conversation and greater knowledge of the issues in Italy.
You will attain greater fluency and knowledge of cultural and social issues. There are no formal exams but students' work is marked regularly and feedback given.
A College Certificate will be awarded on request.
Why is this course for me?
The Italian language will be studied around a series of topics or topical issues. All the four language skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing will be incorporated into lessons. Homework is set regularly.
What do I need to sign up?
This course is for near fluent speakers of Italian.
Is there anything else I need to know?
Students are responsible for the purchase of materials relevant to the course.
Please bring a pen and paper/notebook to the classes.
Students will be responsible for buying the relevant course book (to be advised by the tutor). It will be helpful to have internet access, either at home via a computer and/or in the classroom with a tablet (for online dictionaries and other resources).
