What opportunities will this course give me?
Learners will be able to progress on to Italian Beginners.
What will I be learning?
Topics covered include basic greetings, ordering food and drinks, and asking for and giving directions. You will also learn every day things such as saying where you come from and what your job is. You will also be able to tell the time and recognise numbers 1 to 100.
You will gain the confidence to speak Italian whilst on holiday, the ability to order food and ask for directions to public places.
A College Certificate will be awarded on request.
Why is this course for me?
Learners will be taught through dialogue primarily, though there will also be reading and writing tasks and handouts.
What do I need to sign up?
There are no formal entry requirements in respect of this course; this course is ideal for anyone wishing to learn basic Italian which may be used on a trip to Italy or other Italian speaking areas.
Is there anything else I need to know?
Learners will be responsible for the purchase of materials relevant to the course.
Please bring a note book and pen to the first class.
Learners will be advised by the tutor if particular books are required for the course.
