What will I be learning?
Rather than use chemicals in your garden, is there an organic alternative?
Gain confidence that you are eating natural food with no health risks attached, and that your garden has no negative effective on your environment.
You will learn the basic principles and techniques of organic gardening. There is no formal assessment and no qualification, just a better understanding of the essentials of organic gardening. You will be shown how to look after and feed the soil without the use of artificial fertilisers, pesticides or chemicals.
An Eastleigh College certificate will be awarded on successful completion of the course.
Why is this course for me?
This theory based workshop will be informative and fun. You will be taught by a mixture of presentation and discussion.
What do I need to sign up?
No previous experience is required to join this course. Just a passion for gardening the organic way and an enquiring mind.
This course is suitable for all gardeners, both old and new, who would prefer to ''green'' their gardening skills.
Is there anything else I need to know?
There are no other costs anticipated in respect of this course.
Please bring a pen/pencil and paper to the workshop, along with any questions you may have with regard to organic gardening.
Learners are responsible for all materials relevant to the course.
