What are the entry requirements?

There are no formal entry requirements in respect of this course.

What does this programme involve?

Summer Floristry involves basic practical floristry design skills, such as:

- Posy arrangement
- Hand Tied Bouquet
- Buttonholes/Corsages

You will be able to make basic floristry designs.

A College Certificate will be awarded on request.

How is the programme taught and assessed?

Students will learn and be assessed through practicals and demonstrations. This is very much a ''hands on'' course.

What else do I need to know?

This course is suitable for anyone with an interest in flowers.

Students will need to bring the following resources to participate in the course:-

Wet foam, dish, pot tape, filler foliage e.g. Hebe, Pittosporum
4 focal flowers e.g. Rose, Carnation
2 Chrysanthemum (spray)
1 Bunch Spray Carnations
2 Filler flower

Students will be responsible for the purchase of materials relevant to the course i.e. fresh or dried flowers will be required each week. If you have any floristry tools please bring them with you.
