What will I be learning?
DIY Woodwork involves specific instruction relating to the safe and correct usage of woodworking tools.
Students will be able to undertake a project of their own choosing (to be negotiated with the course tutor). Examples of projects which could be undertaken include a bird box, wine rack, tool box, picture frame, coat hook or a small shelving unit.
You will gain knowledge of how to use tools correctly and safely and apply it to a chosen end product.
A College Certificate is awarded on request.
Why is this course for me?
This course will be taught by demonstration, instruction and practical participation.
What do I need to sign up?
There are no requirements necessary in respect of this course.
Is there anything else I need to know?
This course is suitable for anyone who is interested in learning or improving their basic woodworking skills/knowledge.
Students must wear substantial footwear to participate in the course, i.e. stout boots/shoes.
Please bring a pen and notepad to the first class.
Students will be responsible for the purchase of materials relevant to the course.
