What opportunities will this course give me?

This Needle Felting course will be an introduction for complete beginners. This is a very hands on course with lots of opportunities to grow and develop your new found skills. You can create items for yourself, as gifts or start selling at local craft markets.

Other textile courses are offered at Eastleigh College - please browse the website for more information.

What will I be learning?

This course covers the basic skills of needle felting. This is a very fun technique and tactile process. You will have the opportunity to learn a crafted skill using organic materials to create 3D objects for decorations or wonderful 2D art pieces.

You will learn the technique of needlecraft and be able to take home, not only your new learned skills, but the end product that you have created on the day.

Why is this course for me?

This course is taught and assessed through practical demonstrations and hands on activities.

How will my learning be enhanced?

As this is the basic line of ''how to needlecraft'', once you have mastered the technique you can learn more technical ways in which to create 3D objects or 2D art pieces.

Needle felting can be a way of embellishing existing textiles such as clothing or furnishings, or a way to create layered intricate gifts and keepsakes such as bookmarks, book covers, and mats.

Why is Eastleigh College my best choice?

What do I need to sign up?

This course is completely suitable for beginners or those who have tried needle felting before. This course gives you the opportunity to create something to take home. All you need is to be open to trying and learning a new skill. But above all, you will have fun and enjoy the experience.
