What are the entry requirements?

There are no formal entry requirements in respect of this course. This is the perfect workshop for complete beginners, or those with little experience, who want to make some beautiful items ready for the festive season.

What does this programme involve?

This workshop will help you to produce Christmas themed calligraphy cards and tags in time for the festive season.

This festive course is an introduction to lettering, design and creative Calligraphy using the alphabet.

You will learn creative writing and lettering with italic fonts in pencil and ink.

A college certificate will be awarded on request.

How is the programme taught and assessed?

You will learn from guided practice and demonstrations throughout the morning to inspire you for the yuletide season.

What else do I need to know?

This is the perfect course for complete beginners who want to learn to make beautiful letters using the art of calligraphy.

Please bring paper, pencil, eraser, ruler, and reading glasses (if required) to the workshop.

A starter dip pen and nib is included in the cost of the workshop, as well as ink. However, you may wish to bring any calligraphy pens and ink if you already have them.

Please also bring along your address book, along with any labels/tags and festive cards you wish to write.

Please ensure your course is running before purchasing any materials.

A starter pack of a calligraphy dip pen and nib is included in the course fee and will be provided at the start of your class. Learners are responsible for the purchase of other materials relevant to the course, although some tags, card and festive coloured ink will be provided on the workshop.
