What are the entry requirements?

There are no formal entry requirements in respect of this course.

What does this programme involve?

Students will learn how to cook a variety of dishes from the Far East and gain insight into the cuisine and culture of China, Malaysia and Thailand. The tutor will demonstrate how to cook the dishes and students will have the opportunity to taste them.

A College Certificate will be awarded on request.

How is the programme taught and assessed?

The tutor will demonstrate how to cook the dishes. A list of ingredients and methods to follow is provided to each student, who will then cook the dishes the following week.

What else do I need to know?

The course is suitable for anyone interested in learning how to cook Chinese, Malaysian, Singapore and Thai food.

Students will be provided with an ingredients list prior to the course. Please bring your own knives, a tea towel, apron and oven gloves.

Students will be responsible for the purchase of materials relevant to the course.

Ingredients need to be purchased by students in advance of each lesson from a list which will be provided before the first class.
