Have a question?

It's often better to see what we do and seek answers from tutors!
Why not come along to one of our Open Evenings?

What career opportunities can this lead to?

This is a leisure course so designed to be fun, engaging and interactive. Whilst there is no official progression, learners are welcome to re-enrol on this course or try one of our other Adult Enrichment Courses.

What are the entry requirements?

This course is part of our Adult Enrichment Programme which is designed to offer a range of opportunities for adult learners with mild to moderate learning difficulties and/or disabilities. All that is required is an enthusiasm to take part and learn.

What does this programme involve?

You will learn all the skills you need to prepare healthy meals for yourself and your friends and family to enjoy. You'll learn how to safely use the kitchen equipment to prepare and cook your meal. You'll also learn about new and different ingredients, how they benefit your health and add flavour to your meal. By the end of the course you will have the skills you need to create healthy meals along with a range of recipes and methods to follow. This is a leisure course so there will be no formal assessments or qualifications. An Eastleigh College Certificate will be issued on completion of the course.

How is the programme taught and assessed?

You will be taught in small groups by an experienced teacher. This is a practical, hands on course and you will be able to take home and enjoy whatever meal you create.

What else do I need to know?

No additional resources are needed for this course, but learners may want to bring an appropriate continer to take their creations home in.

Everything you need for this course is provided for you and included in the course fee. There are no additional costs involved.
