Have a question?

It's often better to see what we do and seek answers from tutors!
Why not come along to one of our Open Evenings?

What career opportunities can this lead to?

There are a number of other baking and cookery courses on offer at Eastleigh College - please browse the website for further information.

What are the entry requirements?

There are no formal requirements necessary to join this course but some baking/cooking experience would be beneficial.

What does this programme involve?

You will learn how to make:
French fougasse bread, fresh olive and red onion bread with pesto, French petit pain baguettes and sensational beer and parmesan bread.

You will be taught different techniques to give you the best bread ever! You will receive moulding and kneading advice and be taught how to get a professional classic finish.

This is a full hands on day with opportunities to ask questions on artisan bread, flour and yeast cookery.

This is an exciting opportunity for keen bread makers who enjoy making bread from scratch to expand their repertoire!

How is the programme taught and assessed?

You will watch demonstrations from the chef and make yours from that demo. The lecturer will help one to one with each student so you will finish the day with professional products to take home.

What else do I need to know?

You will need to bring electric scales, apron and pastry scraper, containers to take your food home in and silicone paper/baking parchment.

The tutor will advise approximately one week before the class what ingredients you will need to bring.

Students are responsible for the purchase of ingredients relevant to the course.
