There are no formal entry requirements in respect of this course.
Students are shown media techniques in pencil, pastels, conte, charcoal, ink, watercolours, acrylics. The students' own subject matter is developed to enable them to create their own drawings and paintings. The class often starts with demonstration, hand-outs and slides, followed by students' own practical work. Tuition is often highly individual.
Students will be able to create their own drawings and paintings.
A College Certificate will be awarded on request.
Some theory will be studied, although the majority of time will be spent on practical work, to enable students to create their own pieces and develop their skills.
This course is suitable for anyone. Beginners and Improvers are both welcome.
Drawing paper, 2B pencil, rubber and sharpener along with any other items you may have.
Materials for various media, students can spend as much or as little as they want. Students will be responsible for the purchase of materials relevant to the course.
