Caual Contract/Flexible Hours
£20 per hour
Typical hours: Weekdays between 8.30am-4.30pm
We are offering an exciting opportunity to enthusiastic individuals who would love to deliver new, fun and engaging workshops/ activities to young people, either at our summer holiday camps or on a more regular basis supporting our programmes! This is a flexible role which can be worked around studies or another job.
As part of the role, you will be:
- Delivering new, fun and engaging workshops/ activities to young people
- Supporting the Personal Best Education Team in the construction of session plans
- Responding efficiently and effectively to the needs of the young people you will be working with
- Liaising with relevant staff members and Designated Safeguarding Lead to ensure young people’s wellbeing is supported during delivery.
- Communicating effectively, clearly and in a timely fashion with Personal Best senior staff, team and venue staff to ensure a smooth running of the programme
We are specifically looking at individuals who are passionate in the following subject areas:
- Creative design
- Art
- Science, technology, engineering and maths
- Music or Music Production
- Food and Nutrition
- Teaching/Education
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Must hold a minimum of 5 x GCSE’s (or equivalent), grade A-C inc. Maths & English or equivalent certificates
- Qualification in the relevant subject is desirable
- Qualification in one or more of the following:- early years/play work/youth work/teaching/coaching or subject related to young people – Desirable
- It is desirable that the post holder holds a full UK Driving Licence and has access to their own vehicle.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to motivate and encourage people to overcome any boundaries
- Ability to handle sensitive information in a professional manner in line with GDPR and Personal Best Education policies
Desirable
- Understanding of working with diverse community groups
- Understanding and experience of safeguarding
- Experience of risk management and risk assessment as well as handling confidential information
- Experience working with one or more of:- children/young people/local communities/charitable causes
