HR Support Level 3 - Apprenticeship Standard

What opportunities will this course give me?

On completion, apprentices can apply for Associate Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).

What will I be learning?

HR Professionals typically work in medium to large organisations as part of the HR function delivering front line support to managers and employees, or are a HR Manager in a small organisation. Their work is likely to include handling day to day queries and providing HR advice, working on a range of HR processes, (ranging from transactional to relatively complex) from recruitment through to retirement, using HR systems to keep records, providing relevant HR information to the business and working with the business on HR changes.

The apprenticeship standard covers the core skills, knowledge and behaviours to demonstrate competency within a HR Support role and covers key requirements to include:

Apprentices will develop through on and off-the-job learning and are expected to attend Eastleigh College on a bespoke delivery pattern and on successful completion of an end point assessment, will achieve the Level 3 HR Support apprenticeship standard. Apprentices or their employer may wish to pay a fee to claim the CIPD Level 3 Certificate in People Practice. Please note it is not a requirement of the apprenticeship.

Additionally, unless exempt on entry, apprentices will be required to achieve Level 2 Functional Skills in English & Maths prior to undertaking end point assessment.

The typical duration of this apprenticeship is expected to be 24 months.

Your progress will be continuously monitored and supported by a Trainer.

What do I need to sign up?

Entry is subject to interview and assessment and you will need to have relevant employment undertaking significant HR tasks. In addition, you will need to have 4 GCSEs at grade C/4 or higher, including English & Maths or be able to demonstrate ability equivalent to, or exceeding Level 2 in English& Maths.

Is there anything else I need to know?

The apprenticeship end-point assessment is the final evaluation stage of your apprenticeship program at Eastleigh College. It's designed to determine whether you have achieved the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required to meet the apprenticeship standard and perform the job role independently.

Depending on the standard, we assess your competence through various methods, such as practical exams, assignments, interviews, project work, presentations or observations and we will also evaluate your portfolio of evidence, which documents your learning and progress throughout your apprenticeship with us.

The end-point assessment must be taken at the end of your apprenticeship, and the results determine whether you have successfully completed the program and achieved the apprenticeship standard.

Successful completion of the end-point assessment is required to receive certification.
