Level 2 Award Supervising Food Safety in Catering is designed for anyone working in the catering industry with supervisory responsibility.
What will I be learning?
Successful completion of the training programme and assessment will enable candidates to develop and understand the requirements of:
• Legislation
• Food safety hazards
• Temperature control
• Refrigeration, chilling and cold holding
• Cooking, hot holding and reheating
• Food handling
• Principles of safe food storage
• Cleaning
• Food premise and equipment Level 2 Award in Catering. Multiple choice examination papers. Sessions will involve a combination of group work, discussion, activities and tutor presentation. A knowledge and understanding of the units covered in the course.

Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering will benefit anyone working in a situation where food is prepared, cooked and served. The qualification is accredited by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) and meets the requirements of the Sector Skills Council.
