Level 2 Award Supervising Food Safety in Catering is designed for anyone working in the catering industry with supervisory responsibility.

What does this programme involve?

Successful completion of the training programme and assessment will enable candidates to develop and understand the requirements of:
- Legislation
- Food safety hazards
- Temperature control
- Refrigeration, chilling and cold holding
- Cooking, hot holding and reheating
- Food handling
- Principles of safe food storage
- Cleaning
- Food premise and equipment Level 2 Award in Catering. Multiple choice examination papers. Sessions will involve a combination of group work, discussion, activities and tutor presentation. A knowledge and understanding of the units covered in the course.

What else do I need to know?

Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering will benefit anyone working in a situation where food is prepared, cooked and served. The qualification is accredited by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) and meets the requirements of the Sector Skills Council.
