What career opportunities can this lead to?

Advanced apprentices, with experience, support and opportunities in the workplace, can progress onto Higher Apprenticeship Standards for Chartered Legal Executive and Solicitor.

What are the entry requirements?

What does this programme involve?

Additionally the standard aims to enhance apprentices skills in communication, case management, legal research and client care.

How is the programme taught and assessed?

You will learn through a combination of on- and off-the-job training. You will attend college one day per week during term time and spend the rest of your time earning and learning in the workplace.

To achieve the Advanced Apprenticeship in Paralegal apprentices will be require to demonstrate their competence through an independent end point assessment to include a portfolio of workplace evidence and a scenario based assessment.

On successful completion apprentices will be awarded the CILEx Level 3 Diploma in Providing Legal Services.

Unless exempt on entry, apprentices will be required to achieve Level 2 Functional Skills in English & Maths prior to undertaking end point assessment.

Your progress will be continuously monitored and supported by an Apprenticeship Officer.

What else do I need to know?

At the start of the apprenticeship you will be able to apply for student membership to the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives and upgrade to higher categories of membership through higher study and further CPD.

Due to the current national reform of apprenticeships, the information detailed for this framework was correct at the time it was sent to print. For September 2018, all apprenticeships will be delivered as a standard and details of these will be updated on our website as soon as the information is released.
