School-leavers on NHS career path thanks to a unique care course
A pioneering group of learners who left school last year wishing to work within healthcare have now completed the first year of a unique Health and Social Care study programme at Eastleigh College that features a dedicated work placement at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS).
Unique course for tomorrow's healthcare professionals
An innovative and exciting Level 3 Health & Social Care course has been launched for Sept 2020. The learning programme has been developed in partnership between Eastleigh College and University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust, and offers a unique introduction to school and college leavers with a desire to work in a range of clinical healthcare roles including nursing, midwifery and occupational therapy. The study programme is the first of its kind, and is likely to be even more popular following the government's recent announcement of a £5,000 per year NHS bursary scheme.
