There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

What does this programme involve?

This qualification is designed to develop learners' knowledge and understanding on Equality and Diversity. There are two mandatory units that are required to be successfully completed and they are:

- Exploring how peoples rights & responsibilities are protected at work
- Working or learning in a place that promotes diversity

This is a Vocationally Recognised Qualification (VRQ), giving underpinning knowledge related to the candidates working environment. The course is taught using a portfolio of resource materials and assignments with 9 hours of contact from a named tutor/assessor in the candidates workplace.

How is the programme taught and assessed?

Self Study with this qualification and 1:1 support with your assessor.

What else do I need to know?

This course is suitable for people interested in improving their understanding of equality and diversity issues, particularly those working within the health, social care or childcare sectors.

There are no formal classes on this course.

How do I apply?

If you are hoping to undertake a workbased apprenticeship, please be aware that you will need to be employed in a relevant role in industry and your employer must agree to your training.
