What career opportunities can this lead to?

This qualification is nationally recognised based on the Management and Leadership National occupational Standards. It will also allow learners to develop management, leadership and employability skills, which are all essential for the workplace. There is a wide range of optional units covering different aspects of management and leadership, which allows learners to select units in a specialist area, or to spread their choice of units across several specialist areas.

What are the entry requirements?

This qualification is suitable for job roles in any sector that involve management and leadership responsibilities. At Level 4 the learner can expect to be a middle manager and to hold a more central management role in an organisation.

What does this programme involve?

A minimum of 37 credits is required overall for completion of this qualification, which must include a minimum of 26 credits at, or above, Level 4. There are 4 mandatory units that add up to 18 credits.
The mandatory units are:
-Manage own Professional Development within an Organisation
-Develop working Relationships with Colleagues and Stakeholders
-Plan, Allocate and Monitor Work in own Area of Responsibility
-Provide Leadership and Direction for own Area of Responsibility

How is the programme taught and assessed?

Once you have enrolled onto the programme you will be assigned an assessor that will visit you in the workplace regularly. They will complete assessment plans and reviews with you to keep you on target. They will support you in the collection of the required evidence needed for your qualification through different assessment methods such as; professional discussion, observations, written questions, verbal questions, witness statements and any assignments.

This qualification is suitable for all learners who are looking to further their knowledge and skills within the management sector. How do I apply?

If you are hoping to undertake a workbased apprenticeship, please be aware that you will need to be employed in a relevant role in industry and your employer must agree to your training.
