Once you have successfully completed your course you will be able to progress to work or other suitable courses at Eastleigh College. Completing at level 3 could lead to supervisory jobs, junior secretary, administrator, clerks in larger organisations. Previous students have progressed to a Business Management Degree course @ Southampton Solent University & Winchester University. This course is also ideal for those wishing to add another skill before University. This Level 3 course is intended for the individual who is looking for an opportunity to gain recognised management and supervisory qualifications with practical experiences that can lead to supervisory or junior management roles in business. This combined with BSLVS3 ESK3 - Enterprise Skills will give up to 116 UCAS Points, which will allow access to a relevant Bachelors Degree programme
You should be keen and enthusiastic and have completed a Business Administration or Business Studies course at Level 2. Alternatively, you should hold as a minimum 4 GCSEs A*-C / 9-4 minimum, incl: Maths and English (ICT is desirable), First Diplomas - must be at Merit / Distinction. Those with only a First Diploma or similar qualification must be in a related subject. We would also like to see a satisfactory school Record of Achievement and you will have to complete a successful college interview.

You will undertake additional qualifications as follows:-
o GCSEs in Maths and English if you achieved D / 3 or below
functional skills - English, Maths and ICT at level 1 or 2
The course is designed to give 16 hours+ tuition per week with 1 weeks work experience. This course is of a very practical nature with time being spent on gaining the essential keyboarding, text processing and administrative skills. You will need to allow time to work on your assignments independently.
All students complete 1 weeks of work experience in the workplace. This work experience is an essential part of the course as it provides vital evidence for your assignments. Your employers will be asked to provide witness statements of your performance at work. The college has excellent links with local companies and organisations and our students have in the past undertaken administrative work experience at Hampshire County Council, Eastleigh Borough Council, Office Angels, NatWest Bank and local schools, to name but a few. The College will attempt to find you work experience locally to minimise travel expenses, but students are expected to contribute finding their own placement.
If you would like to acquire Business Administrative, which will help you to get work in an office, then this course is for you. During this one year Business Administration course you will develop a wide range of supervisory administrative skills, which will certainly help you to enhance your job prospects!
The lecturers who will teach you are well qualified and have a wide experience of business, commerce and industry. They will encourage you with your studies and help you to acquire business and administrative skills. Your lecturers will also help you to develop key employment skills such as communication, interpersonal skills and using ICT.

Level 3 Business Administration students have been working in partnership with The Braishfield Pantry, a community shop and café based in Romsey, to help the organisation improve their profitability.
