What career opportunities can this lead to?

The qualification will allow learners to progress within employment, or onto other qualifications such as Team Leading. Alternative options to expand the candidates skills and knowledge in a Business Administration environment would be to complete courses such as:
-Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Excel
-PowerPoint
-Note Taking &Minute taking

What are the entry requirements?

Although there are no formal entry requirements for this qualification, it is essential that all candidates are employed in a business administration role, and are able to freely demonstrate their ability to show general competence to a level in line with their occupation and the qualification requirements.

What does this programme involve?

The qualification will be delivered in the workplace by an experienced Assessor, allocated to the learner at the beginning of the course. Learners will be required to complete 4 mandatory units:
-Manage own performance in a business environment
-Improve own performance in a business environment
- Work in a business environment
-Communicate in a business environment
Learners will also complete additional units from a wide range of options, which include:
-Work responsibilities
-Document production
-Events and meetings
-Customer service
-Communication
In order to assess the candidates knowledge and understanding against the Business Administration standards, the assessor will visit the workplace and carry out observations, professional discussions and ask the candidate questions. The candidate will also be asked to produce their own reflective accounts, and witness statements, and work on assignments set by the assessor.
There is also an option to complete the Business Administration Level 2 qualification as a fully work based Apprenticeship.

How is the programme taught and assessed?

Once you have enrolled onto the programme you will be assigned an assessor that will visit you in the workplace regularly. They will complete assessment plans and reviews with you to keep you on target. They will support you in the collection of the required evidence needed for your qualification through different assessment methods such as; professional discussion, observations, written questions, verbal questions, witness statements and any assignments.

What else do I need to know?

This qualification is designed for learners employed in administrative roles, who wish to develop or consolidate their skills.

How do I apply?

If you are hoping to undertake a workbased apprenticeship, please be aware that you will need to be employed in a relevant role in industry and your employer must agree to your training.
