What career opportunities can this lead to?

Learners can progress to a Level 4 Diploma in Management or job roles such as Manager, Head of Function, and Area Manager.

What are the entry requirements?

Management Level 3 is for learners who work in leadership or management roles such as Section Manager, First Line Manager, Assistant Manager, Trainee Manager, Senior Supervisor or Junior non-commissioned officers (armed forces). They will be able to demonstrate managing both staff and operations within their organisation and will be experienced and looking to develop within the role. Learners should also have literacy and numeracy skills.

What does this programme involve?

This course gives learners the opportunity to develop and demonstrate technical and wider sector-related knowledge to underpin competence in a management job role.
Learners will be required to complete five mandatory units:

-Manage Team Performance
-Principles of People Management
-Principles of Business
-Principles of Leadership and Management
-Manage Personal and Professional Development

Then choose from a wide variety of optional units to gain the full qualification, some of these options are

- Develop, Implement & Operational Plan
- Discipline and Grievance Management
- Conduct Quality Checks
- Manage Business Risk
- Deliver a Presentation
- Recruitment Selection & Induction Practise
- Manage a Budget
- Encourage Innovation

How is the programme taught and assessed?

Learners will be assessed in the workplace, this means college attendance is not required. The assigned assessor will visit the learner and conduct professional discussions, observations, written questions, verbal questions, witness statements and any assignments necessary.

Completing this framework means employees will be given the opportunity to have existing skills recognised and achieve a nationally-recognised Level 3 qualification.

What else do I need to know?

Within the Full apprenticeship framework you will also be required to complete the Employer's Rights and Responsibilities workbook along with completing maths, English and ICT functional skills at level 2.

Course are tailored to suit the employer and the individual as each framework offers multiple options to ensure staff get the most out of the experience and clear organisational benefits are achieved.

How do I apply?

If you are hoping to undertake a workbased apprenticeship, please be aware that you will need to be employed in a relevant role in industry and your employer must agree to your training.
