After completion of the apprenticeship you may have the opportunity to upskill to Level 5 Operational management (dependant on job role).
What will I be learning?
A Team Leader or Supervisor is a first line management role, with operational and project responsibilities or responsibility for managing a team to deliver a clearly defined outcome. They provide direction, instructions and guidance to ensure the achievement of set goals. Working in the private, public or third sector and in all sizes of organisation, specific responsibilities will vary, but the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed will be the same whatever the role.
Why is this course for me?
Your key responsibilities are likely to include supporting, managing and developing team members, managing projects, planning and monitoring workloads and resources, delivering operational plans, resolving problems, and building relationships internally and externally.
In this apprenticeship you will gain an understanding of how to provide direction, instructions and guidance to ensure the achievement of goals, whilst being able to motivate your team. You will also learn about key academic theories and models and how to put these into practice, as well as areas such as:
• Building a high performance team
• Project management
• Managing self
How will my learning be enhanced?
The on programme learning will be driven by you and the breadth of your current knowledge. Your learning, development and progress will be monitored to ensure you are gaining new knowledge, skills and behaviours throughout.
Our team of professionals will deliver the training with a blended approach to enhance learners knowledge, skills and behaviours to include:
• One day a month attendance at Eastleigh College
• Online weekly lessons via our digital delivery platforms
• Directed study with remote delivery support

You will be supported throughout the apprenticeship, ensuring from the start you are on the right programme for you and we will work with your employer to ensure you are given opportunities to develop in line with the occupational standard.
You will receive regular one to one sessions to deliver ''off the job'' training, coaching around the behaviours and on going guidance.
What do I need to sign up?
A minimum of a Level 2 in English and Maths - if you do not have this you will be expected to achieve this prior to End Point Assessment.
Is there anything else I need to know?
The apprenticeship is assessed at the end of your on programme learning, this is called an End Point Assessment.
For the Level 3 Team Leader, this comprises of:
• Presentation with Q&A
• Professional discussion underpinned by a portfolio of evidence
