What opportunities will this course give me?
This course is designed to get you back into the beauty industry. You must already hold a minimum of a Level 2 Beauty Therapy Qualification or units of credit in the subjects you are wanting experience from.
Each session is designed to refresh your knowledge and practical skills so you can confidently seek employment in the industry
You can gain employment in a number of establishments such as salons, beauty complexes within hotels or in department stores. You can also become self employed and have your own business
From the completion of this course you can enrol onto level 3 Beauty, Level 2 Setting up your own business or depending on pre requisite Level 4 Advanced Beauty Therapy
What will I be learning?
Level 2 Beauty Therapy is made up of the following practical units:
• Provide facial skin care treatments: Cleansing, skin analysis and facial massage techniques
• Enhance the appearance of eyebrows and lashes: Tinting eyelashes and brows, brow shaping, application of strip and individual lashes
• Carry out waxing services: Temporary hair removal from various parts of the body
• Provide manicure and pedicure services: Shaping nails, cuticle work, paraffin wax, hand and foot masks, nail enamelling and hand and foot massage
And additional units:
• Ensure responsibility for actions to reduce Health and Safety
Consultation techniques and after care
Why is this course for me?
The programme will be taught by a team of highly qualified professionals and will include a mixture of practical and theory lessons in a working salon. Training will include professional product knowledge. This course is designed to get you back into the beauty industry. You must already hold a minimum of a Level 2 Beauty Therapy Qualification or units of credit in the subjects you are wanting experience from.

What do I need to sign up?
You must have a minimum of a Level 2 Beauty Therapy qualification or units of credit. You must be able to show proof of these qualifications.
It is advisable that you speak to a member of the Beauty Team before enrolling to discuss course requirements.
Is there anything else I need to know?
All products and consumables are supplied as part of your course fee.
Please wear suitable salon attire, if you no longer own a tunic then smart black trousers, black top which covers the torso and dark flat closed in shoes (no trainers)
The course is not qualification based, you will not pass or fail. This is an opportunity to refresh skills under the guidance of one of our experienced beauty lecturers
