What opportunities will this course give me?

The finance, accountancy, business and communications skills developed in the AAT Foundation Certificate in Accounting can lead to employment as: Accounts Administrator, Accounts Assistant, Accounts Payable Clerk, Purchase/Sales Ledger Clerk, Trainee Accounting Technician or Trainee Finance Assistant. The accountancy and finance knowledge developed in this qualification is also the underpinning knowledge needed for the higher-level accountancy and financial skills developed in the AAT Advanced and Professional Accounting Qualifications.

What will I be learning?

The Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Foundation Certificate in Accounting is an ideal starting point for anyone wishing to pursue a career in accountancy or finance, covering a range of foundation accounting and finance skills in five mandatory units. This unit provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to carry out typical bookkeeping transactions and tasks using accounting software. Students will develop the practical ability to process accounting transactions, perform bank reconciliations and produce reports using accounting software.
