Covid-19 Update

Given the Covid-19 pandemic, the College calendar has been changed for the first term of the 2020/21 academic year and has introduced a two-week October half term break. This break is from Monday 19 to Friday 30 October during which time the College is closed to Learners. The College office will be open from Monday 19 to Friday 23 October (telephone/email enquiries open) and closed from Monday 26 October to Friday 30 October (telephone/email enquiries closed until Monday 2 November). From 2 November we are increasing the areas in which a face mask or covering is required to be worn.

Emotional or Mental Health Support

Having a mental health need, or concern about your mental health should be no barrier to your education. College staff are trained to identify and support learners with such needs. Your Personal Tutor is there to discuss any difficulties you may have, and where necessary a support plan can be put in place to help you cope with college life.

Counselling

If you are finding things particularly difficult and feel you need someone to talk to, our counselling team can help. They can set up regular one to one sessions with you, offering a range of appointment times throughout the week. To access this service you can either speak to your Personal Tutor who can make a referral for you, or contact the counselling team directly on 023 8091 1127 or 07535 056854 or email counselling@eastleigh.ac.uk.

Chaplaincy

Our Chaplain offers a listening service for those of all faiths and those of none. If you feel you need to talk things through with someone, the Chaplain can offer that support. You can email the Chaplain for a specific appointment time via chaplaincy@eastleigh.ac.uk.

Anti-bullying

The College has a zero tolerance to bullying. All incidents of bulling will be investigated and, where necessary, addressed through the Student Disciplinary Procedure.

Students should talk to their personal tutor or the College Counsellor if they are, or they know of others that are being bullied. Students can also use the College's anti-bullying 'Speak Up' service, with details advertised around the College, or by emailing speakup@eastleigh.ac.uk.
